B. MAINTENANCE
The following items will be performed annually.
1. Weedwack weeds and brush along embankment and emergency spillway
2. Re-establish proper vegetative cover as necessary
3. Address erosion
4. Address rodent damage
5. Clean trash rack
6. Replace/ replenish riprap
7. Concrete Maintenance
C. OPERATION
Record keeping procedures- completed monthly inspection reports (Appendix A) will be immediately emailed to the designated IMA Coordinator for inclusion into the official GLCA record. A hard copy will also be provided to the record keeper. The dam observer will immediately notify the dam committee chair of any observations requiring further investigation or repair.
Part III: Training
All persons involved in the Inspection and Maintenance Plan (“Plan”) shall be trained to ensure that they are thoroughly familiar with the elements of the plan and their duties under the plan. The Garnet Lake Conservation Association Dam Committee shall conduct Training and review of the plan. These meetings shall include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Review general responsibilities and inspection procedures
· Review reporting and record keeping procedures
· Review annual maintenance procedures
· Review inspection and maintenance procedures at the dam site
· Discuss and any additional information or features that should be included in the Plan.
All holders of the inspection forms (Appendix A) shall receive updated sheets or sections whenever changes or revisions are made to the Plan.
Training and Review shall be performed at least once every two years.
