Beavers damming the culverts

Hi all,

Some beavers have succeeded in partially blocking all 3 culverts over the dam.  Several times the culverts have been cleaned out over the past year and the beavers return within a couple of days to replug the water flow.  This creates an unsafe situation if we have a significant amount of rain causing the road over the dam to flood and restricting access to the west side of the lake.

Joe Bernat has obtained a permit from DEC for removal of the beavers.  The trapper came out yesterday, November 1, and set up fencing and 3 traps around the debris barrier.

PLEASE DO NOT DISTURB THE TRAPS OR NETTING.

PLEASE DO NOT LET YOUR ANIMALS ENTER THE WATER NEAR THE DAM.

We will send out another notice when the traps and fencing are removed.
